【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesamethodoftesttobeusedforsmallunprotectedcableswhere,inadditiontotherequirementsofBSEN50200,ameansofapplyingawaterspraytothecableduringthetestisrequired.CompliancewiththerequirementsofBS5839-1:2002,26.2d)maybedemonstratedusingthismethod.NOTEThiswatersprayapplicationisincludedasanoptioninaproposedamendment(prAl)toEN50200thatiscurrentlywithinCENELECProcedures.UKhasbeengrantedderogationfromstandstillinrespectofthepublicationofBS8434-1:2003.Itisemphasizedthatthefiretestsdonotassessafirehazard,norcantheresultsofthefiretestsaloneguaranteesafety.Theyonlyprovideinformationtoassistintheassessmentofthesuitabilityofacableforagivenapplication.
