【摘要】:Thispracticecanbeusedtoestimatethein-placestrengthofconcretetoallowthestartofcriticalconstructionactivitiessuchas:(1)removalofformworkandreshoring;(2)post-tensioningoftendons;(3)terminationofcoldweatherprotection;and(4)openingofroadwaystotraffic.Thispracticecanbeusedtoestimatestrengthoflaboratoryspecimenscuredundernon-standardtemperatureconditions.Themajorlimitationsofthematuritymethodare:(1)theconcretemustbemaintainedinaconditionthatpermitscementhydration;(2)themethoddoesnottakeintoaccounttheeffectsofearly-ageconcretetemperatureonthelong-termstrength;and(3)themethodneedstobesupplementedbyotherindicationsofthepotentialstrengthoftheconcretemixture.Theaccuracyoftheestimatedstrengthdepends,inpart,onusingtheappropriatematurityfunctionfortheparticularconcretemixture.AnnexA1providesaprocedurefordeterminingexperimentallythebestparameters(datumtemperatureorvalueofQ)forthematurityfunctionsdescribedinSection6.1.1Thispracticeprovidesaprocedureforestimatingconcretestrengthbymeansofthematuritymethod.Thematurityindexisexpressedeitherintermsofthetemperature-timefactororintermsoftheequivalentageataspecifiedtemperature.1.2Thispracticerequiresestablishingthestrength-maturityrelationshipoftheconcretemixtureinthelaboratoryandrecordingthetemperaturehistoryoftheconcreteforwhichstrengthistobeestimated.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(WarningFreshhydrauliccementitiousmixturesarecausticandmaycausechemicalburnstoskinandtissueuponprolongedexposure.)
